Municipality in Province of Siena, it’s a town that is home of buildings, museums and monuments of great historical and artistic scope. Among the main highlight: the National Archaeological Museum, the Museum of the Underground City, the Tomb of the Lion, the Labyrinth of Porsenna and the Catacomb of Santa Mustiola.
Just over 30 minutes by car, you reach the Trasimeno Lake, fourth largest in Italy. Between the shores of the lake are picnic areas for picnics or carp fishing. Opportunity to practice the main water sports including: windsurfing, water skiing, canoeing and sailing.
Chiusi’s National Archaeological Museum is open every day from 9:00 to 20:00 (closed on January 1, May 1 and December 25). Museum houses inside numerous archaeological finds from the adjacent areas and the entrance includes a visit to the Etruscan tombs of Leone and Pellegrina.
During winter you can enjoy alpine skiing on Amiata Mount. Furthermore shopping lovers can go to the Valdichiana Outlet Village (takes about 30 minutes by car); for sports lovers, Chiusi Lake is possible to practice rowing.
